In the words of Helmut Newton: »The first 10,000 shots are your worst«. I’ve now made it well past that number. This is an attempt to give some structure to this massive collection. Meanwhile, destiny has gotten me involved in a bunch of projects over the last years and here's a selection of my favourite ones.

You could find me regularly on Berlin's markets - from Prenzlauer Berg to Neukölln, from farmer's markets at Maybachufer or Kollwitzplatz to art markets like »Berliner Kunstmarkt« at Museumsinsel or legendary »Markt im Mauerpark«.

One catchy tune follows the next in Richard's children's music. He loves his instruments and it's great fun to photograph him making music.
TRAVEL
Every now and then I escape from the big, bad city of Berlin and unwind on the other side of the world. It's great to explore other cultures and communities.

I love black and white style for portrait photography. No outfits or makeup to distract from the essence of the person in front of the camera.

Hipstography
Mobile photography is my second childhood and Hipstamatic my favorite toy. Since 2015 I’m proud to be a Hipstographer.

In 2008 I co-founded the Berlin based punk band »Television Knockout«. Punk, rock, grunge, underground, garage - lots of words to pigeonhole music. I just enjoyed being a drummer.

In November 2016, I was part of the first Y_Space Original Creators workshop for mobile photography at Berlin's old NSA spy station at Teufelsberg.
